FOSLA ACADEMY SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS IN BRIEF
1. Eiight students of the Academy represented FCT in the U -13 tournament in 2012 at the National level.
2.Participated in the Loyola football competition for the first time in 2014 and lifted the trophy, the golden boot and the best behaved school.
3. We won the SWAN FCT best Academy award in FCT 2014
4. The school football team won the maiden edition of the FCT Principals Cup in 2015 and has remained the Champion till date.
5.The school football team represented FCT in NNPC/Shell football tourney in north central zone in Nigeria in 2016 and came top.
6.The school football team represented the north central zone in the NNPC/Shell football tourney in Katsina 2016 and came top.
7..The school football team represented the northern region in the NNPC/ Shell football tourney for all Nigeria secondary schools in Lagos and was runners up, highest goal scorer, won the best defender and the most valuable player wchich gave one of the players a training tour ticket to Feyenoord football Academy in Rotterdam, Netherlands,2016
8. The team won the FCT Coaches best Academy and best youth player award in 2016.
9. The school U-15 team won the Copa-Coca Cola football competition in 2016. Represented FCT at the zonal level in Kwara came top which qualified it to represent the zone in the final winning bronze same year.
10. The school U-15 team won the Etisalat school games in FCT in 2016 and represented FCT at the zone in Kwara and got a ticket to the final in Lagos and was runners up, won highest goal scorer, MVP.
11. The school U-15 football team represented FCT in the Copa- Coca Cola in Kwara and Lagos where they got the golden boot, golden gloves and MVP in 2017.
12. Five students in the U-15 football team represented Nigeria in 2017 in 5 – Aside tourney in South Africa.
13. Three of the students joined the U-15 national team that represented the country in Morocco in 2017.
14. Three of the U-15 team joined the team that represented Nigeria to watch the world cup in Russia 2018
15. The Academy Goal keeper of U-15 team joined the team that represented Nigeria in the U-16 tourney in Japan
16. Five of the Academy U-15 team joined the team that represented Nigeria in the 5 – Aside tourney in Kenya, led by the school senior Coach where they emerged runners up in 2018
17.The school had a representation in the national U-17 football team in 2020
18. The school inaugurated a football club (FOSLA FOOTBALL CLUB) currently playing in the Nationwide league one comprising of all the post secondary students of the Academy who are currently undergraduates at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
19. The school football team won the maiden edition of the revived national Principal cup organized by the federal ministry of education 2021
20 The school had a representation in the U-20 national team in Niger where they won in 2022
21. The school had a representation in the U-20 national team that got a ticket for the world cup in Egypt 2022 by name Onuche Ogbelu.
22. The Academy represented Nigeria in Rabat, Morocco for the World School Football Championship equivalent of FIFA World Cup where their performance not only earned an automatic ticket for China 2024 World Cup, they earned a second slot for Nigeria in subsequent editions.
It must be noted that it is unique in the sense that it effectively and seamlessly combine education and sports.
There is no doubting the fact that FOSLA Academy is among the best football Academies in the world and undoubtedly the best in Africa.
